He had support from Alexandria moderates until this, which is rare in this one party town. Some would say it was because of his time at SSSAS. But, now he's seen as attacking Wolf's wife who is very active in the community. She has lots of friends. This is a bad look for him. It takes a lot to turn rich, white, Democrat housewives against a local POC Democrat.

Marching to her house and standing with a mob screaming at her children is a good way to lose them.

But- he can pick up the disenfranchised cat ladies of Fairlington so there's that.

I'm glad he supported a business that the NIMBY's were outraged about - this makes me respect him more.

And no one's intentionally, deliberately harassing Wolf's kids. The kids live there, in the house that WE the taxpayers pay for. As an Alexandria resident, I have no problem with Champan.

Any evidence his kids are actually cowering in fear? I know people whose homes were picketed by protesters when they were kids; they ddin't cower in fear. It was a little noisy, their mom brought the protesters coffee (they were protesting the dad). They've never described it as anything other than amusing. These are day time protests with people chanting and holding signs. That wouldn't phase my daughter unless I told her to be scared.
