If you have a room to set aside, fine. Most people are having kids work in bedrooms (not a good idea) or common areas (my preference). And plenty of kids wear pjs to school. I have zero issues with requirements about sitting somewhere other than in bed. |
Yeah, because everybody has an extra room floating around where there can be just school “products”! ![]() |
Ridiculous. I find it ridiculous that our public school has a dress code in-person (khakis and golf shirts), let alone at home! |
No nudity at least! |
My kids will be required (by me) to wear something that would be appropriate had they gone into the building. If they happened to sleep in it the night before (and they do sleep in t's and shorts most of the time), that's fine. We don't wear shoes in the house so they won't be wearing them for DL classes.

I’m team dress code. Usually we have a strict uniform policy but it wasn’t enforced for remote school. I like the policy of requiring a minimum of a uniform shirt. I don’t like the emphasis that having a camera close-up puts on hair, makeup, interesting tshirts, etc. and felt like the teacher resorted to complimenting kids’ appearances or talking about each kids’ outfit when Zoom conversation lagged. Neutralizing that would be nice. |
Wear an appropriate shirt to bed and it will be fine for class the next day. |
That is Fing hilarious. As if it's not bad enough that everyone's life is completely disrupted. |
Um. You do realize most families don’t have an extra room they can use just for this, right? Or that some families live all in one room? |
I know Zoom meetings can be awkward but someone needs to have a talk with that teacher because that is not okay |
Yes this is why we teachers need two teacher training days. We have to train to enforce all theses things and it Ned tr |
This. I'm glad the administration of this school is so well organized that they were able to spend time on how to make the situation worse. The school's execution of distance learning better be flawless. |
You have a dining room that can easily converted. Most of you are just lazy and, therefore, your children are lazy. |
You DO know that some folks don’t have a dining room either? Or...they need to eat at the dining room table? |
This isn’t school. |
