You can't argue against those points.

yes, SFL exists because there aren't enough kids playing rec at those ages to keep it within the club. They aren't going to close shop just because one league isn't going forward

So you think they will just do soccer for u10 and under and say sorry too bad to the older kids ?

yes. The vast majority of rec participants are in that age category and for clubs like Loudon and McClean, those U8 and under players are their future travel players (and travel fee payers). I doubt they cancel everything because of SFL cancelling. I could be totally wrong though

I don't know, that seems pretty unfair to the u11+ kids...

Maybe the answer is playing smaller sided games instead of 11v11 or 9v9. maybe if they do 5v5 they'd have enough kids for house leagues.

Good idea

There needs to be small sided games and keeping it local this fall. I can't see NCSL, CCL, EDP having a full-blown season.

+1 and 5v5 is fun and it's not a step down either as far as development is concerned. Probably a step up.

The clubs in the SFL are not going to cancel +U11 teams. It’s still a revenue stream. Hopefully neighboring clubs have enough rapport to be able to schedule matches between one another.
