How much do initials come into play when you're choosing a name?

Don't forget to check the initial with surname since that's how letters often arrive.

From someone who knew a Mr P Ness and his cousin Mr A Ness.

Not much, as stated earlier, unless it's really bad. I know someone with the initials WET and he was never teased; as a matter of fact it does serve as source of amusement to him personally.

My son is EAR...could've been WAR but ended up as EAR

My cousin was telling me that they couldn't give their son the middle name Eric because his initials would have been JEW. (We're jewish). I thought it was hysterical. I think LEG is harmless but would avoid something glaring - like a curse etc.

I think LEG is ok. We did consder initials. One of our faves would have given DS TAT, which, while not overt, wasn't great. Chose a different name for that and a few other reasons, but the nitials were part of the decsion.

As a former BLO, my one kill rule is initials, and even I would be okay with LEG.

LEG seems harmless. We're considering GPS -- fitting 'cuz my husband is a gadget guru.
