No. Seeing animals locked up in unnatural habitats is disturbing. Why do people insist on keeping up this nonsense.
Animal lives matter. |
We know about the hill. Jeepers. |
Did I got to the zoo? Supposably... |
I went yesterday. Everyone was masked to the hills and was socially distancing. I went early; not sure what things were like in the afternoon. |
Anyone go today? |
Yes. It was too hot. Don't go. |
We went on Friday midday. It was great. Yes, it was hot, but that was too be expected. It was much, much less crowded than normal for the summer. No camps, no groups at all. Everyone we saw was properly masked. We never have seen the lion and tigers so vocal. |
ugh. we're close by too. forget it. |
I went Friday at 9 a.m.
If I were to go again I'd go at 8 a.m. it was fine at 9, but like another PP posted, it started getting too crowded, for covid times. Most children were wearing masks, and a couple adults had them under their nose, ugh I felt uncomfortable when in a viewing area because people would get a little too close for comfort. I think part of the problem is that if you buy a parking pass you dont have to have a timed entry ticket. I think this should change because there seems to be no way to control how many people come at any given moment, via car/parking on the premises. Tldr: you better go at 8.am. which is when they open |
Yes. Loved the misty shower stations on such a hot day. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations. Mask signs everywhere. Staff visibly at work cleaning the shop areas that were closed off. Lots of camaraderie among parents. So much was closed and due to the heat not so many animals out. The children still had a great time, so I'm happy with it. |
If I didn’t have to wear a mask I would . . . |
No, but if it's able to stay open I'm looking forward to going when it isn't so hot. It's uncomfortable already in a mask (I always wear one but man it's hard in this weather), and since masks are supposed to stay dry that means not using the misting stations. |
I went on Friday at 9:30 am. Way too crowded for COVID times. And going up the hills in the heat in a mask was torture. |
I went today, got there around 8:20 or so. It definitely got busier as the day went on, but I never felt crowded at all. People were generally respectful of space and allowing you to take your turn looking at something then moving along. Mask+ hills was definitely killer because I was pushing a stroller with a 35-lb kid in it. Only saw about 5 or so improper mask wearing. People followed the paths of the signs without issue. |
bump. anyone been lately? |
