Reduced preschool ratios - what's your comfort level?

Same here. When I enrolled my child, only 3 other kids had returned to class, but they're now back to capacity at 8 (in DC). I'm uneasy, but recognize that this is still far better than 16:2. Tuition hasn't changed...yet. Protocols remain strict.

My preschool is not changing ratios. There will be 2 teachers and 12 students

Ours now does shortened hours and increased fees but with 4 to 1.

Both places we are looking at (in Fairfax County) are capping class sizes at 10. I am ok with it. One of them did have to raise tuition in order to do this, and the cost increase is painful. But they seem to be taking COVID more seriously than the cheaper place so I'm probably going to have to suck it up. I need the childcare and my child really needs to be around others his age. He has a condition that causes speech/language delays that can then lead to social difficulties, and I feel the benefit of being around a small group of other kids outweighs the risk IF the school is being careful.
