If you want to prohibit your child from using it, by all means. Just know your child will be left out of an activity most of her friends are doing.

Oooh Cool Mommy showed up

She's not a "Mommy!" She's her kids' "best friend"...

“She” is a “he.” And HE doesn’t freak out like silly women over social media use. HE isn’t her best friend but HE has open lines of communication, set expectations and doesn’t infantilize HIS teen.

My 15 yr old DS read the fine prints of the terms and conditions. There is no privacy and All data is stored by Chinese govt. Sure, there are interesting things too but there is no reason for any normal person to be on tt.

My daughter watches mostly funny animal videos. Does this mean she’s into bestiality?

Pp, r u a pedophile? You seem oddly triggered about this post about protecting kids from perks.

No, are you Prince? You just use language oddly. Your logic abilities appear suboptimal as well.

No, why are you so interested in telling parents that they should let their kids be on TiK Tok? Are you Chinese or Russian troll? My logical abilities and parental abilities are great. Much better than yours if you even have kids. Are you also anti-masker?

There is a.reason that he has not been able to attract well educated women. Just Bimbos, east Europeans nude models and porn stars. What a loser.

No, I am pro mask. I am not Russian nor am I Chinese. I am a white father of two teenage girls. Single dad actually. And I am clearly a better parent than you because I am capable of assessing risk and taught my children the same. I set boundaries and let them make their mistakes and learn from them. I don’t spend time obsessing over boogeymen online. Why do you?

I suspect he used TikTok to watch kids who are his daughter's age, and doesn't want that cut off. Otherwise why would he care so much what other people do. Creepy.

No, I have ever seen a Tik tok that my kids haven’t shown me. I don’t have the app.

My kids do know I reserve the rights to access and inspect their phones at any time. I have done this two or three times over the years. That was plenty. They know where the line is and how to avoid risky situations.

I am also a coach. Which means I undergo rigorous background checks.

So you can try to attack me for calling you silly all you want. But when you point that finger, three point back at you.

Please get help for your anxiety. It sounds debilitating and it is negatively influencing your child.

I know that you are on summer break, but there are better ways to get your Mom to let you use your Tik Tok.

What is pathetic is you probably actually think you were being witty.

I don't understand the belief here that there are no sane adults that aren't hysterical about this. I don't think kids should use it with no supervision, and I agree actually that some of the viral songs are totally inappropriate frankly but its a thing like any other, not intrinsically evil. Teach kids how to use such things responsibly (which yes, includes not giving it a bunch of personal information!)
