No it does not. My son scored in the high 80s and we're lower middle class. Beauvoir alum and now at St Albans.

FWIW, in Montgomery County just across the border, about 40% of kids test as being "gifted or talented" and eligible for advanced classes. There's a debate raging currently about whether this says more about the level of instruction in MoCo or about the student body.

"Gifted and talented" in their system means tested "above grade level". It comes down to definition and cut-off point or where one draws the line.

What is lower middle class in DC? $40K/Yr?

I would say lower middle class (I posted we are) would be combined income for husband and wife of $ 75,000 and no assets I say we are lower middle class for DC..if were in Texas or somewhere else we would be middle class and be able to afford a house!
