wisdom teeth out for teen

Dentist recommended the same thing for me when I was 15. My mother took a wait and see approach. I did get cavities in them at 24, and it took me 3 different dentists to find one that would fill tha cavities. Most wanted to pull them all because it was a more expensive procedure for them, and because they are so far back it is tough to find a dentist that is capable of filling them. BUT if your son is not having any problems and the X-rays look ok, it seems totally unnecessary. Like the fad of removing every child's tonsils when our parents were young. Now everyone HAS to have their wisdom teeth removed pre-emptively? Get a 2nd opinion, imo.
