A question for Jewish people: do you believe in an afterlife?

Jews can get autopsies.

Have heard little from Jewish community about Kushners, well specifically what do they now think of the Kushners re. Jared and how increasingly racist and divisive Trump has become? What is the community saying, are they disgusted, not, don't care, disconnected? What is the word on the street, or in the synagogue?

The only thing I’ve heard them mentioned has been in the context of their kids attending a Jewish day school where most families are politically liberal.

Interesting that so many people said no. What about Olam Haba? https://ohr.edu/ask_db/ask_main.php/25/Q2/

Yes, but that's why in this country we have the Jewish vote, white vote, Black vote, Catholic vote, with ads and campaigns designed to each group etc. Of course all people have diverse opinions, I mean you have Black votes for Trump, but in general?

Word on the street is that you’re nuts.

I’m Catholic and don’t want to be cremated, just in case I need something ... afterwards.

Serious question - if God can resurrect you from the dead, why can’t God give you a new body?

So you’re being cryonically frozen?

There is no such thing as a Jew Buddhist. You are Jewish by culture and birth but Buddhist in practice.

I have a friend who calls herself a Jew-Bu. It’s not an official thing.

Google it - a lot of prominent meditation teachers have Jewish backgrounds. There are articles that explain the reasons.

For instance, what would you "need"? Truly, I'm baffled.

Yeah, I'm the PP who was then told there's no such thing as a Jew Buddhist. It's been around for a long time. It's not like an official, sanctioned thing--whatever that might mean in religions as decentralized as Judaism and Buddhism--but it has a Wikipedia article, so it's not like I'm making it up!

My fellow Jew Buddhists include Leonard Cohen, Allen Ginsburg, Philip Glass, and Mandy Pitinkin. So it's definitely a thing!

I'm still trying to figure out which think you might need.

In the Old Testament, Saul consulted a medium. To me, that supports there being an afterlife, but we are to leave them alone and let them rest. It is interesting that most responses are no in this thread.

Do you also believe in mediums?
