I care about fitness. I'm interested in exercise as a way to feel better and in food/diet as a way to feel better. So in theory, I am the sort of person who should find this forum useful. Unfortunately, this is actually a "weight loss and self-hatred" forum. Plus plenty of fat hatred. |
I got started lifting heavy because I was a skinny fat runner. As a middle aged man, I'm pretty sure I'm not concerned about pleasing the patriarchy. Why don't you get busy working on "real problems" rather than spamming the diet and exercise forum? The world absolutely needs more vocal feminists engaged in every aspect of society EXCEPT shaming people who want to improve their body composition. |
My suspicion is that you would feel very differently if this fellow woman wasn't using the word "skinny" next to fat. Or skinny in any shape or form. Not very feminist of you. |
I have no objection to the words "skinny" or "fat." They describe appearance. I don't like it when people attribute other values to them. "I probably look fit to other people because I'm skinny, but I need to get stronger, because I can't [do thing more muscles would enable me to do]." |
