OP, just do what the Aussies do - wear a "stinger" suit! You can DIY by wearing some leggings and a long sleeve sun shirt and a pair of water shoes. Keep head above water.

| OP here, thanks all. I have ordered the kids stinger suits, but they take forever to get here. Meanwhile, do any bay experts know whether vinegar works on sea nettles? The Internet has conflicting information. I know that trick for traditional jellyfish, but I read that it has the opposite effect on the bay nettles! |
