Nothing hydrates you as well as water. Everything else is diluted somehow. When I was chronically dehydrated, I had headaches and fatigue a lot. Once I started making sure I got enough water, that all went away. |
Coffee is dehydrating, not just a diuretic. As is alcohol. Cravings for sugar (like soda) or food can be a sign of dehydration as well. If I'm craving a soda or cookie and drink a large glass of water, I usually lose the craving for whatever it is I wanted. |
LOL! I still don't know how PP arrived at 7 gallons. |
Easy, if she is 120lbs, half her weight is 60lbs. 60lbs is around 7 gallons of water. She said half her body weight? no? |
| Oh Lordy. Please note there are 128 ounces in a gallon. |
No, half her body weight in ounces. Meaning if she is 120 pounds, half of that is 60, drink 60 ounces. That is the standard recommendation. |
I’m dying here. This is why I make my rising 4th graded read his word problems carefully. Go back and underline the “in ounces” part and ask yourself what it means. |
Yes, they do.

No idea
I drink when I feel like it. No reason to over hydrate or drink a certain amount. |
| I'm about 115. I drink around 4-5 liters of straight water per day. Only other things I drink are coffee (2-3 cups every morning, black) and wine/beer (1-2 drinks a few days a week). |
| This post is making me realize my chronic fatigue could be dehydration. I used to drink a ton of water and now just keep forgetting. And drink too much coffee! I need to look into those marked containers. |
