It is probably more difficult because the one kid isn't yours. You have to be extra vigilant and careful. But it is good you know your limits. Just wanted to share that if you had two it would be totally different.

I’ve got three seven and younger and it is very peaceful when only one is at home. But thankfully they play pretty well together which has been a real benefit since they haven’t had a play date in four months.

Yes I agree with this! And two kids was hard until I had a third, now if I just have two it’s a dream! I think this is always the case!


Ha! I sometimes feel like kids will expand the work needed to take care of them into the space they are given. I have four kids, and my brother has an only child. I love my niece, but I swear that she is more work than all four of my kids put together.
