Would you go to an aquarium or museum?

I guess you need to pick the 1 or 2 things that are worth the risk to you. Are the limiting the number of people who enter? If it wasn't crowded, and I really wanted to go to a museum/aquarium (which I don't), then I might go for 30 minutes, and only hang out far away from others, and leave if I felt it was getting too crowded. We will definitely be going to the ourdoor zoo soon.

+1 Would I personally, no. We went in Feb and my kid has not been begging to go back*. However, if it was my families absolutely top thing that I wanted to do, I would consider in the circumstances OP describes.

*This thread just made me check, we went to the Boston Aquarium on Feb 21. I took my kid to the doctor the following Friday because I was sure she had the flu, fever, breathing fast, constant cough. The doctor was so sure it was the flu that she prescribed tamiflu before getting the test back, but the flu test came back negative. She was sick and in and out of school for the next three weeks and wasn't allowed to attend because of her cough for a few days before schools closed for COVID on 3/13. I need to get her an antibody test...

No.

I did take my kids on a Target run yesterday. So I can't say that we're avoiding all indoor places, because I clearly took them to an indoor place yesterday. But, there's something about museums and aquariums that seem different than Target. I'm not sure why.

Of course not. My kids have not gone anywhere beyond our property since March.

You DO know the stats are going UP right? Not down.

That was stupid. Target has had many cases of COVID.

I'm going to wait 6 weeks or so and see how things are going. I would love to take my son to the Baseball Hall of Fame which is reopening.

Not yet. An aquarium or museum is an indoor space where people come from a wide geographic area to spend hours of their time. To me it's not worth the risk.

Aquarium no, because you have to pay and I think I would want to leave if it was too crowded, so I wouldn’t want to spend the money.

Museum maybe. If it was free I wouldn’t feel bad about leaving if it felt crowded. I would wear masks.

No, but I would go to a farm or outdoor nature center.

No way. It could be a circus.
