Roster submissions

Does this really happen?

Yes, this happens, but usually dual rosters in the same club.
I know that McLean rosters some players to both their ECNL team and their CCL Green team.
Last year Bethesda rostered some players to both their DA team and their EDP Blue team.
It gives bubble players a chance to compete.

Does this happen in Spring for ECNL teams bringing on new players for playoffs?

That's not duel rostering. That's just using a player from one team to play on another team within the club. Your player pass doesn't state what league you play in.

ECNL teams are US Club Soccer, so all players on ECNL teams are rostered with US Club Soccer. CCL teams are rostered with US Soccer. So I don't think you can use "Club Pass" to switch between teams freely. You'd either have to be duel rostered or "guest" play and I'm not sure if ECNL or CCL allow guest players for league games. Obviously, you can guest play for whoever in tournaments.

You simply dual roster with the card for the particular team. There is no centralized clearinghouse of these players cards. Clubs will issue cards from both organizations or you could play for two clubs.

This time of year, the club releases everyone from the rosters. Your new club will add you to their roster. It usually happens in August. Ask your new team manager for assistance. If you leave a club in the middle of the contract, it is your job as a parent to get the paperwork prepared and sent to the clubs. Once this is done then the paperwork can be sent to the registrar for your state.

It may be possible to be registered for two teams. This question is asked every year on one of the two administrative papers you should be filling out every year.

It's not that it may be possible...it is possible....just as long as one team is US Soccer and the other is US Club Soccer. When someone is rostered on a team, a player card is created and that player is registered with ONE team in the US Soccer System or US Club System. You can't be rostered on another US Soccer team (or Club Soccer team) until the first team releases your player card. Once the team releases the player car, the player becomes available in the system for the new team to add him.

You are correct about the dual carding but you are confusing "US Soccer", with the "US Youth Soccer Association," aka, USYSA. They are not the same thing.

The US Soccer Federation is the parent organization - recognized by FIFA as being in charge of all things soccer in this country, both professional, amature, and youth. There are 3 youth organizations that are members of US Soccer: US Club soccer, US Youth Soccer, and American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO, primarily west coast). None of the 3 youth orgs allow dual carding within their own organizations, but US Soccer basically doesn't give a shit, so it's possible for players to be carded with one team in USYSA, and another team in US Club Soccer.

The only "US Soccer" youth players were those in the now disbanded DA.

I don't know how the MLS Youth League players will be registered.
