Lots of girls on our team skipped games for ID camps. Especially if it's the school you are interested in or one that has reached out to your junior. Also, now that your kid can communicate with coaches - why not just ask the coach??

Some college coaches will frown upon you leaving a team obligation for a camp. If your club coach is on board that is different.

That's why you should just talk to the college coaches!! And no, they don't. If they want you at their camp, they want you at their camp. And club coaches know better than to block the college process. It's a very big part of why a kid plays at a club and is very often the next step the kids are preparing for. College coaches do not frown on anything not having to do with their school. You work the club issue out with your club coach.

Make sure the club coach is on board with it is all. If the club coach is ok with it then it isn't a problem. But some college coaches will not discourage it to see what the player will do. If they turn their back on their team there are college coaches who will take note. And if they know you well enough and know that you have a game attending the camp is more of a test of the player's decision making process.

So, again, go ahead, but good luck with that approach.
