The McLean School - does your child attend, if so - do they have special needs?

PP - that is really encouraging! Thank you for the reply.
Does anyone have thoughts on St. Andrews Episcopal? that is another school our doctor told us to look in to. Their website content is amazing!

I just took a look at St. Andrews' website b/c I have their brochure (my children took a class there last summer so they sent me a brochure). I put it aside b/c it seemed like they were only looking for "geniuses" and I did not recall being that impressed by the website. I just looked again and they must have revised it b/c I agree with you that it is very impressive. I pulled out the brochure and on the front page in large bold letters it says "Unlock Your Child's Inner Genius." Then in the first paragraph of the first page it says "we give the gifted child the means to excel" so that is when I knew that it would not be the school for my kids but now the website is giving off a totally different, much more welcoming and inclusive message. BTW, my kids enjoyed the class -- there were only 4 in the class so they got a lot of attention.

My DH and I are touring this week, and DS is spending the day there as well. If you delve into their website, check out their Diversity statement as well as their Education Center and Accomodations info under the Academics tab.
I'm in love with this school and I haven't even met the admissions team yet!

Will update after our meeting with them.
