My friends in San Diego have a pool and they use it almost every day. |
I lived in SD proper for years. I didn’t know anyone west of the 5 with a pool. I knew one Poway family with an awesome pool overlooking a valley, but that’s farther out and hotter than SD. |
We are in NorCal and our pool is at 76' right now and it's only in the 90s for air temp right now. You can use solar covers or it may have a heater- most up here do. So I'd think it would be warmer down there. |
OP here. Just submitted an application for a house with a pool, wish me luck! Thanks for all of your replies! |
It is always hot during the summer in SD.
Especially during July/Aug/Sept And that includes nights as well. Carmel Valley can get very hot too so I suggest that having a refreshing swimming pool is a huge perk. Even when the weather gets randomly & unseasonably hot during the rest of the year. Remember: SD does not do seasons. Good luck and welcome to our beautiful, America’s Finest City. You will love it here. Promise. |
I'm in LA and we looked at Carmel Valley; agree with other posters that yes, get a pool! CV is a little inland and will get hot.
Good for you! |
