I went to a NASCAR race one for work. I was one of a handful of minorities there and I have never felt more uncomfortable. Luckily I was with 2 white guys but man if I was people other people of color I would have seriously worried something would happen to me. This is a much needed move.

Do not assume the NASCAR did this out of the goodness o their hearts. No way. They are losing money and need to appeal to younger viewers who are likely not supportive of the rebel flag.

Nascar has had declining ticket sales for many, many years. Daytona 500 can't fill the stands and has not been able to for many many years.

I was a NASCAR fan back in the hay day or Dale Earnhart, Darryl Waltrip, etc. I was like 22 and we basically went to these races looking for trouble. We didn't really care who won a stupid race. We would rent a moving truck and fill it with beer, food, and people, and go into the in field and watch the race from atop. Fights! Fight! Fights! and more fights for no reason. Fights because a girl wouldn't show us her t_ts. Fight over what make car someone drove. Fight over ANYTHING! And racism was rampant! Can you imagine getting in a 10 vs 10 fight because your favorite racer drives a Chevy and their favorite racer drove a Ford? This is the mentality of these people. I saw a guy get killed. Well I assume he was dead. He got ran over by a guy who lost control of his truck driving through a massive mud puddle. Turn 1 at Pocono used to be absolutely insane! There is NO f-ing way I would go near this area if I was a POC.
