The absolutely will allow you to pull them out for private services. We did that a lot last year because when we finally got off waitlists for private ST and OT, they were appointments during the school day. The slots after school are harder to get and when one opened up, they were more likely to go to someone who was already getting therapy. When we got a slot or were moving slots, I emailed the teachers and also sent a brief memo to the front office stating DS has a recurring ST or OT appointment on X day at Y time at Z place and that I am assuming they will consider it an excused absence unless I hear otherwise from them. It was never a problem.
