That is a pity for ECNL since the Boys ECNL added Sporting Delaware:

It’s a good addition, and nearby. GA mid Atlantic looking like a better place to play than ECNL n mid Atlantic.

It’s nice to have quality clubs close by in times like these. It might be different in other areas of the country, but GA mid Atlantic is a good place to be.

From the ECNL press release (https://www.boysecnl.com/2020/05/la-roca-utah-avalanche-and-sporting-delaware-add-to-the-continued-growth-of-the-ecnl-boys/)

"Sporting Delaware is a newly-formed club born from a collaboration with Delaware FC, the most successful, community-supported club in the State of Delaware. The club is powered by BPG|SPORTS, an affiliate of the Buccini/Pollin Group, co-owner of the Philadelphia Union, and will operate out of a world-class indoor/outdoor training facility in Wilmington, DE, the 76ers Fieldhouse."

Much like other midatlantic clubs, this appears to be ECNL saying we’ll take your boys this year but your girls will have to play in the regional league rather than the national league if you want us to take them too. So the girls went to the next best option, GA.

Any feeder club will not get into the ECNL. The ECNL wants to go back to the salad days.
