I have 3 hours alone with my 10 year old DD today- what should we do?

You're totally unhelpful. Do you not have kids that are verbal? Most of the time when you ask them, their answer is "I don't know". It helps to have suggestions.

B!tch.

NP The thing is most parents know what their ten year old likes and dislikes so if my ten year old would love to roller blade but, her kid likes to do arts and crafts how would my suggestion help?

Also, before you call someone the Bitch word you should take a pause and look in the mirror. Would you want to be called a bitch over something so trivial?

+1, I don't get why people think its ok to call others names as they don't agree.

At 10, most kids can say what they'd like to do or you give them some choices and they can choose.

Both were low key but perfect and she said “I wish we could do this more often.” It reminds me how much kids crave individual time. I could have done a dozen overdue chores around the house but this was time well spent today.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I feel bad for kids like yours whose parents don't do that stuff regularly...

I feel bad for kids who have parents who make comments like this... Imagine the cruel comments they say to their kids. Breaks my heart thinking about it.

DP. Saying “ask her” in all caps was a bitchy thing to say.

I’m guessing you’re seeing tone that isn’t there. I read the all caps as emphasizing the word, not as a nasty hiss.
