| You are getting good advice about healthy foods. The cheese (protein) is especially good because it doesn't need refrigeration. However, my big piece of advice is one unhealthy treat that is always popular in our car for kids and parents alike: Pop Tarts. I know they are empty calories but they sure do pick up our gang when we're in the middle of a long day on the road! |

| Peanut Butter sandwiches (no jelly) wrapped in Saran Wrap. Will last 2+ days. Doesn't need a cooler or refrigeration. Make beforehand or also easy to make on the road. Bring a loaf of bread & a jar of peanut butter/or those individual cups they sell. Or at a hotel, eat the hotel breakfast and also make a sandwich from ... a few slices of their bread and they usually offer peanut butter. |
