Does Talbots run true to size?

I have been wearing Talbots size 10 for 20 years and they always fit prefectly. Now I have
to go to Size 8 and they are too long several inches.

Agree. I am a 10 in J Crew and BR, and used to be a 10 in Talbots, but now the Talbots 8's run large. It used to make me feel good, but now it's just annoying because I can't order anything my mail and have it reliably fit.

I just ordered several pants from Talbots. According to the size charts, I should have been a 6-8 so I got both sizes to try. Had to send them back for 4s.

I think usually true to size - the reviews are pretty much spot on.

I’m 5’9 and 145 and their size 2 fits me perfectly. Ridiculous.

I’m almost the same height/weight (I’m 5 10) and I can maybe wear a Talbots 6 but no smaller. An 8 works more of the time. Maybe it’s your body or how your weight is distributed?

I find Talbots cuts are bigger in the chest (where I am bigger, so that works!) but smaller on bottom and their pants very rarely work for my particular shape (curvy, I guess?). Their “curvy” pants are way too curvy too.
