| I’m having the same issue with Target. The 4/5 is a little small and the 6/6X huge. It’s annoying. |
| I found I needed to go to Carters / Osh Kosh for a few years to get sizing right. |
Same issue for us too for the in between sizing. I’ve found what works for us is buying used/second hand clothing for the in between sizes as they seem to have already pre-shrunk in the previous washes. And we end up spending less money. My youngest gets hand me downs from all her siblings so she just picks from whatever fits her
|
My youngest is probably a full size ahead of her siblings in the size she's wearing for the size she is, due to shrinkage. |
| For target price points, h&m is similar & doesn’t have the big jumps |
OP here - yes, this is true for us too! For the first PP - how many kids does the secondhand stuff last through? I've hesitant to buy stuff on consignment/thrift because I worry it won't last down to my younger girl. |
j OP again - I haven't managed to figure out their sizing though. They have sizes like 4-6 and half of them fit when she was 4 and the other half didn't fit until she was 6. Very confusing!! |
| This happens - sizing gets less consistent as the kids get older. The worst for us was that there is no size 11. It goes from 10 to 12/14 in almost every brand. |
