Positive on my 4th IVF. My 3rd I had a m/c so sometimes it does take a few tries.

Number of tries depends on how much you are prepared to take physically, financially, and emotionally, in addition to how many tries a RE is willing to give you. I am abt to start on cycle #8 and never thought I would be where I am. I have had an ectopic, a miscarriage, and a couple of tries with a one particular protocol that just wasn't meant for me (including an IUI conversion). The rest of the cycles just didn't work out. My RE has mixed things up in terms of protocols, stim dosing, 3 vs. 5 day transfer, etc. I have always done Assisted Hatching given AMA. Sometimes it just takes time to get a formula that works just right for you.
