Built in Bra Sundresses that can support large (DDD) breast’s - do they exist?

Just wear a strapless bra. The chest band does most of the work in a properly fitting bra. Shoulder straps definitely should not be carrying weight.

Strapless bras almost never look good, especially on a very large chest.

I have a very attractive one from Title 9 that has held up well. It's a firmer material with a criss cross back. I tried on a ton in the store (in CA), and the ones that were sized by cup size worked way better than the ones that were sized S, M, L.

The one I have from Prana was a soft jersey material and stretched out quickly, even with cold delicate washing, so I need to wear a bra underneath when I wear it outside the house (which defeats the purpose).

The girl dreams of that as well. Try a halter style with strapless bra. I have one that has removable clear straps to stabilize. It is not comfy but works.

"PrAna" and "DDD cup" should not be mentioned in the same sentence. Not all things are for all people.

Soma has a line called invisible support. I haven't tried them but am considering it. I am a G cup, but still somewhat perky and wide set so I am not too concerned about uniboob

No one told me that when I tried it on at REI! it fit very well for the first few washes but then the ddds dragged it down. The title 9 one has worked much better.

Oh, to be small enough to say this with a straight face.

She's not wrong that the chest band should do most of the work. That's what all bra fitters will tell you. That said, I (a 32D so not huge but not small) have never found a strapless bra that gives good support and shape.

Have you tried Bravissimo? I love their button down shirts for my bigger boobs … https://www.bravissimo.com/us/collections/dresses/

Bravissimo has these. I have bought many bras from there (I'm from the UK so used to go to their shops), and have bought their built in bra camisoles too, which are good. Haven't bought their dresses but based on the way the camis fit I would.

+1. I'm a 32G and while the chest band is definitely doing the majority of the work, a strapless bra would just plain hurt with the amount of work it would have to do.

+2. It's just the physics of it. When you have that much going on, the top half of the breast has to be supported, and that can't be done well by a strapless bra.

A dream. You'd need the built in bra to have underwire and that wouldn't look right. I've struggled with this dream myself, but then I've found lots of looks that "small" girls could never pull off, so I now try to focus on how to make what I have as a good thing.

It’s probably a pipe dream.

What I have had luck with though:

Patagonia Margot dress. You need to wear a bra under it and find a cami in a matching color.

Columbia dress. Straps are wide enough and cut works to wear a bra without it being visible.

I’ve gotten compliments whenever I wear these.

One company I haven’t tried is Bravissimo—maybe they make what you’re looking for?

Uniqlo! Maybe. They have a lot of bra tops/ bra dresses with "full" bras sewn in. (Light lining/padding but no underwire.) I'm not sure about a DDD, but I am a C/D, and they work well for me. Like practically as good as a real bra.
