Would you feel comfortable with summer college age sitter?

I’ve seen teenagers use my corner as a pick up location. Seems like they are telling parents they are going for walks/runs alone and then meeting up. I wouldn’t use a high schooler at all. On the fence about college kids. One of us is recently unemployed so we don’t have the need.

If you think that you are going to need to go back to work in a month and need childcare you are in a hard place. Hope you find someone who is also strict about quarantining.

99 percent of the people who get COVID survive it.

Why is your thinking so out of whack with reality?

NP. At least 50 million Americans have a preexisting condition that puts them at risk. It’s not 1% mortality rate for everyone equally; it’s a much higher rate for some groups in particular.

And you realize that death is not the only terrible thing to be worried about, right? If contracted, there’s a not insignificant risk of hospitalization and complications. Jeebus people, take this seriously.

I feel for OP, whose options are being driven by states reopening without any indicators this is under control.
