It's very hard for me to believe that there are people who sincerely believe this.

As far as I know, there is no constitutional right to board public transportation with uncovered nose and mouth.

Compliance is very high (although I was on a bus and a woman lowered her mask to yell a question to the driver at the front of the bus #notgettingit). I think there will be a lot of peer enforcement of this on. There is a high correlation between people who ride transit right now and those working and/or living in hard hit populations-we are taking it seriously.

I think peer enforcement will be the key driver here. If everyone is wearing a mask and you aren't, you stand out, and not in a good way. And bonus, if we all wear masks, we're all safer!

You would think, but I saw a pregnant young woman with a toddler on her hip in the grocery store. Neither had masks. I always carry a couple extras so I offered them and she laughed in my face. From what I observed as we stood in line, no one else said anything to her. Including store employees.

Toddlers are supposed to NOT wear masks, actually.

Of course, you have no constitutional right then to be in a store or ride the bus. Hope you enjoy your backyard garden and walking. At least you’ll be a thin right winger.

I think the overlap between people who hold the views of the top poster and people who ride public transit is pretty low.

The people who claim to believe this can't tell you what right is being violated.

Traditionally, a state's power is at its highest when dealing with public health issues like a communicable disease pandemic.

Yeah, I wanna see an upity white woman “peer enforce” a African American person into wearing a mask.

Because Karren is going to get an asswhooping.
