RICHMOND, VA (April 15, 2020) – The ECNL Boys is excited to announce the addition of multiple new clubs into the Mid-Atlantic Conference, and a re-alignment combining both current ECNL Boys member clubs and newly added programs. All clubs will compete together in the 2020-2021 season, in a format designed to maximize competitive value and reduce travel:

Arlington Soccer Association

BRYC Elite Academy

Charlotte Independence Pro

Charlotte Independence South

Charlotte Soccer Academy

Charlotte Soccer ECNL

CESA

Loudoun Soccer

Mclean YSA

NC Fusion

NCFC Youth

NCFC Academy

Richmond United

South Carolina United

Virginia Development Academy

Wilmington Hammerheads

How's bad was the traveling?

1 to SC

It is only 1 weekend trip to South Carolina. The other 2 are in Charlotte, as the SC teams are just over the border from there.

The design is to have MA-South and MA-North sub leagues, each has 8 teams.

Every team will play home and guest games among sub-league teams
Every team will play only one game against other sub-league teams. 4 home games and 4 guest games.

For MA-North team, such as BRYC. It will play 22 games in the season.
14 games (home/away) between MA-North teams
8 games with MA-South teams, 4 Home, 4 Away (league will decide the home/away teams)

4 away games will only happen in 2021, with 2 weekend travels.

Is this definitive? I had heard a different plan previously where the league was going to split into a ten month group and a six month group...

There are only 13 teams in the MA, not 16.
