Can you buy non-food (non-essential) items at Costco, Target or Walmart??

You don't make any sense. If the store is open, and you need something, you wear a mask and go get it. What's the problem with that?

Yes. I bought vitamins and Easter clearance toys and eggs at CVS.

This is great. I am headed to Costco tomorrow and hoping to buy a few books. Having the library closed is killing me.

Yes. I just bought my kid some art supplies, a new mixing bowl, a Mother’s Day card, and a birthday card at Target today.

The post wasn't asking for busybody opinions, just facts.

This is what’s not fair to local or small stores. They closed the toy stores, florists, garden stores and stuff like that but Walmart is selling it all

I totally agree. If we could just train ourselves to physically distance, there’s no reason why we couldn’t shop in and support most types of stores. That’s a big If though.

Garden stores are open

It is not a ridiculous question. My super Walmart only sells groceries. Door to retail side closed and only grocery store store side is open. All aisles are taped off for “no entrance” beyond grocery store aisles.

You do not know everything about every city, state, area or neighborhood. Different cities or towns have different restrictions. Read more and learn.

The only thing you weren't able to buy in Michigan was gardening items. That's now rescinded and we can buy all the mulch we like.

What??!?

Why the heck did Michigan ban gardening items??!?

What if I buy food to give as a gift? Food is essential, but the act of gifting it isn't.

Went to Walmart yesterday and got lots of chicken AND a new t-shirt! Never thought I would be SO EXCITED about a new t-shirt from Walmart. Also got two novels. It felt like Christmas!

Everything is open, yes

It's not the season to be gardening. Too cold for gardening. Into early April the lakes are still frozen, inland, especially "Up North". People were just upset because they could find something to be upset about.
