Yeah. If DCU DA folds, VDA will be one of the top boys teams in the area. They will pick up a number of players.

MLS is splintering away from DA they are not dissolving. This will not help or hurt VDA.

I would love to see soccer move away from expensive travel teams and return to neighborhood leagues and school teams.

We’ve always had that as an option.

Jesus people are dumb.

Kids do this in Cuba, South America and the poorer parts of Europe.

give it a rest. The vast majority of these clubs are rackets and everyone knows it. If every halfway decent player didn’t feel like they had to leave rec for one of them then rec itself would improve dramatically.

I actually feel like the mode of incredible financial gouging of travel sports (read: mediocre elementary school level players) could be a deserved casualty of this whole situation.

The street is free to play in. Always has been so what has stopped you?

The problem is with rec too many kids play as a babysitting method for parents. If your child wants to develop their game. It gets ruined by the kids who don't have their heart in it. Thats why travel is needed.

I think you are missing the point. Players who have college aspirations aren't going to benefit from rec soccer. There is an ocean of difference in level once you get to age 14.

Don’t Worry about VDA. They have their top recruiter on it.
