It’s looking like colleges/universities are making plans to start back in November with no fall sports season. Mayor Bowser is referring to models predicting peaks coronavirus in June. You have to assume Va and Md will be in the same boat. Who knows when schools will open up?

Maybe travel soccer in spring 2021?

No, as long as you have money grab programs like the ECNL to sell how it's all worth it in the end, not a chance.

Would you want it to go away?

Yes, it will. Maybe that is for the best. As much as I love college football and college sports, it is highly hypocritical. Title IX is a joke and women wanting equal sports pay is a joke. It is a business and in a business, revenue rules. The problem is that colleges were never supposed to be a business. The are supposed to be not for profit institutions of higher learning. Instead they’ve become bastions for millionaire football coaches, over paid Deans and Presidents and AD’s. This has driven up tuition rates to the point of inability to afford tuition and fees without a loan for many students. The 4 year, on-campus university experience, big tailgates, frat parties, and elite dorms dedicated to snobbish atheletes has potentially met its match in the form of a microscopic virus. Sad in some ways and fair in other ways. End of an era. :-|
