I can’t stand the mayor, but I don’t blame her for this one. We have lobbyists, but the reality is we don’t have representation. When I saw her talking about it she seemed thoroughly pissed. Metro got $800 million. DC got 500 million. Seriously? Think about it, we are the only territory that pays federal taxes. We have more people than three states.

I mean she's right.

But this needs to get fixed now.

She needs to do her job, including nots and bolts lobbying and blocking and tackling on the Hill. Her office is 10 blocks away from Congress for Pete’s sake. And Norton should have retired 15 years ago. Even her Democratic colleagues don’t like to work with her.

Update. Not sure what they’re basing this on as the PUA is part of the CARES Act which the mayor hasn’t signed.
