Thinking of doing something very similar to this home.. trying to do something fairly classic?

I like it ! Except for the sloppy grouting (?)on the fireplace brick.

I especially like the master bath. This is a fun thing to do while stuck at home.

I was the pp who recommended S &L, I like your choice, particularly the blue and white, clean lines, addition of wicker and the cozy layout. It reminds me of an updated version of the living room in "Something's Gotta Give" There are also ways to obtain that look that are not as expensive as the original which is nice. I would add a floor lamp or two and maybe have the armchairs(s) be on swivels that coud alternately face a tv since you do not want it over fireplace. Good Luck!

It is certainly not high end but there is a white upholstered chair ("Brynn") on swivels on sale at world market with a ton of very good reviews. And the price point could possibly allow you to buy two if you are on a tight budget right now. I am likely to order them soon, and have looked around a lot for this type of chair. The other option is the obvious, crate and barrel.

Previous poster again, the customer pictures of people who bought those chairs offer some additional nice design ideas btw

I like the S-L aesthetic fine but you don’t have the buy the notion that any older wood furniture is out. Everything in the catalog is bleached or cerused or whatever but I think lots of wood finishes mix well in that palette.

Yes, Aaways a place some for vintage or darker wood of course. Particularly in these traditional houses....

I love the idea of wicker but agree those may not be the best choice. They don’t look super comfortable! Anyone see any others that work great for interiors?
