At least not on a reliable basis. Thanks for any information that can be provided. Its really hard to plan and try to set up supportive structures when I don’t know what is happening at all. I understand we’re all playing it by ear.
Thanks again to those who were not nasty in their responses.

Then, I think you do need a nanny.

This is a case where 1) more supervision is warranted and 2) you would have gotten more helpful (and less nasty) replies straight off the bat, by posting in Special Needs or simply not burying the lede.

Although this is a true statement, the responsibility for not posting nasty replies is on us as a community and not on OP for not providing intimate details of their lives in an attempt to deter nastiness. Can't we all acknowledge that we are all in very different circumstances and don't have a good enough window into any other poster's life to judge their parenting choices? Especially right now?

In all fairness, and especially in this area, there are absolutely parents of NT kids who are raising them in a way that does not promote problem-solving or self-sufficiency. It's a side effect of the massive wealth in this area - if you have the money, it's easier to just hire someone to supervise them even if more independence would be age appropriate.
