As another poster noted, the most common basis for transfers at the high school level is to take advantage of an IB or AP program at a neighboring school. Falls Church has one of the highest levels of outbound transfers of any FCPS high school (only South Lakes and Lee have similar levels of transfers). Most transfers out of Falls Church, an AP school, are to Marshall and Stuart, which are IB schools, but there have also been transfers to Woodson (also an AP school).
