Increased hours due to a massive influx of Coronavirus patients? |
Because you can buy a week's worth of food at a grocery store. Not just filling up for 4 hours. We need to stay the f*** home unless absolutely necessary. |
Dude...this appears, for whatever reason, to be not so bad in this country. But instead of feeling relieved and grateful for that you seem almost....disappointed. What the actual h*ll? |
| ^ A dangerous, complicit attitiude |
They're supposed to pack a lunch and bring it to work, same as I do. |
|
God you people are idiotic.
Sending restaurants cash doesn't solve their inventory problem. Don't you get that? They need business. We are doing takeout for dinner and using our food stock at home for lunch. We want to support our local businesses and not use too much of our food at home, since we're not sure of the reliability of restocking for everything. |
Nooo, the numbers are thus far pretty encouraging. Not nearly as bad as some had feared. That's good...or at least it is to most of us. |
That's great news! We are on the upswing to beating this problem!! Now let's go out and celebrate! |
Every hospital I have ever been to has food in it. Healthcare workers are not the ones ordering Door Dash and Grub Hub. If it makes you feel better to think this is an essential service for the continuity of life, you are deluding yourself. If was just about support the 1st responders then these companies would be providing free food delivered directly to where they are. This is about profit over people. |
| Pizza delivery is not an essential service. |
|
No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to go buy carry our or delivery. People can choose to do this, and take what comes, and it provides businesses with some income.
I rarely go out to eat here or get take out during a regular winter, much less now. |
| Restaurants have health inspections regularly. The city could push out best practices to them on how to protect customers at this time and health inspectors could check that. Keeping some services flowing is not a bad idea. |
| To help the economy. |
| It would be nice if they could do curbside pickup with the public libraries. That would be if this goes on and on. |
|
It helps the economy.
It allows first responders to get food. There is NOT evidence that this virus is foodborne. I completely understand taking this seriously, but the impact of this on the economy is already catastrophic. We cannot shut down everything. |
