+1 Very familiar with Food for Others. It distributes a lot of food packs to kids through the kids' schools, which isn't happening that way now, but people are picking up food at FFO and the need is skyrocketing. The schools that feed into Takoma Park ES have joined together to distribute grocery gift cards to the Takoma Park/Silver Spring community that feeds into the middle school (30-60% FARMS) if you are looking to donate money.

DC diaper bank is a great organization - not as food focused (although they do do baby food and formula) but they pair with other DC orgs to provide.diapers, wipes, and adult and kid hygeine products, among other things.
