If schools go online how will grading be impacted?

Our school just said that no one will be grading any of the work that teachers send home. It's going to be like a multi-week blizzard for older kids -- lots of TV and social media.

I will be giving interim assessments online to keep them accountable for staying current on the material, with the understanding that there will be a comprehensive exam on same material whenever we do return to class.

Where are you located?

I don’t think we can hold students accountable like that if it’s not graded and they are missing school days.

For homework, essays, and most projects, there never was. But we usually see the difference and just roll our eyes.

And what will you do about the students who claim that they weren’t able to access the materials?

Based on this guidance from the DOE I doubt most schools will choose to do new instruction because providing services to students with IEPs would be impossible.
