Chuck E. Cheese party - would you skip right now?

Anonymous
My son had his birthday party this past weekend (not at Chuck E. Cheese, but at a play place for older kids), and I didn't think twice about coronavirus possibly disrupting things. And everyone that was planning to come, did.

Definitely skip. And I’m not normally a germophobe.

Per nee recommendations by cdc and others.

Yes skip

Or ask politely if they are considering reschedule.

It won’t even be open, so don’t worry about it.

We are not in the high-risk group but my mother who spends a lot of time with my kids is in her mid-60s. On one hand they are a close family friend so I would feel terrible but on the other hand ...flu, caronavirus, stomach flu all come to mind...am I being over the top skipping for this reason?

I would skip Chuck e. Cheese forever. They are dumps.

If you go, don't let your kid climb in that contraption (kind of like a jungle gym) that let's kids get up high. The staff are too big to be able to climb to the second level of it and clean it, so it's never cleaned.
