Female urogynecologist recommendation?

I recently went to the urogynecologist recommended by my OB/GYN as the best in the area, and found him somewhat patronizing but tolerable. That is, until he requested my husband attend the next appointment, implying that his sexual satisfaction play a role in how *I* wanted to proceed.

Taking suggestions for female doctors, which I should have insisted on in the first place.

Thanks in advance!

OMG, please let us know his name so we can avoid. I need one too!

Hi...very old post that I am resurrecting. I am supposed to have rectocele surgery in late May. I've read thru the threads here on DCUM and also on Reddit. The Reddit ones are terrifying.

I'd like a second opinion (maybe a third?) because the urogyn was so cavalier about the whole thing. I am still not sure of the exact procedure (I have a follow up/pre-op appt in early May) but was told 84% success rate, outpatient, off work 2-4 weeks. I think my doubt about the doctor started when I was put into the exam room and made to wait two hours. When I went into her office to discuss next steps, it was clear that my appointment was in the middle of a party.

Any names for a second opinion, and any names to avoid?

Thanks!

Sounds like it could come from a large cast if characters, please save others from this ordeal
Considering I had an eerily similar experience to OP and other poster, I'd guess they are talking about Andrew Sokol. It was like having a finance bro take a look at your lady parts. 10/10 would not recommend.

Omg! This was my experience with him too!!!! I was devastated after I left his office. Told me prolapse is no biggie and what did I expect after pushing a baby out my vagina? He was abhorrent.

The whole situation was so depressing. He basically made me feel like my life was over and it was time to live like an 80 year old.
