High Chair Recommendations?

I have an anti-recommendation: the Graco Blossom. It is very highly rated, but after two kids, I wish we'd gotten something else. It is very bulky and hard to clean. I wish we'd gotten something with cleaner lines, smaller, that is easier to clean.

Maybe my boys are just chunks But there's also something to be said about a high chair that your kids can get into themselves once they are toddlers. They can climb on and off of it with ease, so when I yell "Dinner!" they know to run to their chairs to get in place. We live in a small apartment, so they also use the dining table as a place to draw and play w/some of their Magnatiles etc., so it's nice that they can use their Tripp Trapps at the table.

My kids switched to the Ikea toddler chair between 2 and 3 yo. It's also great.

+1 for the Ikea chair

Another stokke Tripp trapp recommendation. Look on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for used ones, that’s what we did and we absolutely love it. We love that our son has always eaten right at the table with us and how it grows with him (he’s a big two year and happy in it and will use it for years to come probably with the baby part off).

We also like the ikea chair but more for use at grandparents houses etc. My biggest gripe with the IKEA chair is it doesn’t have anywhere for the child’s feet to rest. Think about how uncomfortable it is when you sit in a chair with your feet dangling - same thing for your kid. I’ve seen some hacks online to make a footrest thought so you could look at those! Baby will grow out of ikea chair more quickly than stokke and like others said you can move to the ikea toddler chair. We have that at one set of grandparents now and it works, but he can’t climb into it himself and it feels way less stable

I just used one of the Fisher Price seats without legs that strap on to an existing dining chairs. I think I paid $20 or so and the kids used it as a booster seat until they were maybe 4yo (without the trays).

Stokke. Hands down. My ten year old has hers at the dinner table. 14 year old uses it as his desk chair. Well worth the money.

We love the ikea one and switched my oldest to a booster seat at the table at 2.5.

I love our stokke Tripp trap. It’s quite pricey, but you can always find used ones on Facebook marketplace. I know someone who uses hers as regular chairs for when guests come over.

Wow, this is great - thanks so much! I for sure would have spent way more than $20, had I not known this Ikea one was so highly recommended .

I got a used Stokke Tripp Trapp for $75 and have loved it. My son is two now and he does not mind it all. I found this helpful: https://newwaysnutrition.com/babies/stokke-high-chair-or-ikea-high-chair/

I just like the blueberry color!

Their stuff looks cheaply made in china.

4moms. It wipes down, the magnetic tray was awesome when kid was little, then when older we pushed it up to the table. Kid used it at the table as a regular chair through age 4.

My kid decided the Tripp Trapo was a baby chair and rejected it at 2.5. waste of $$ for us but we were able to sell it. Bought a cheap booster for our regular chairs and happiness returned.

We used a Graco and had Goodluck with it .
