But I’m looking for popular KBBQ restaurants, it’s looking like most of them focus on AYCE and the regular menu is super overpriced or just an afterthought. Can anyone give me good recommendations for KBBQ with more of a normal entree style setup? Preferably in northern VA.

Thanks!

Why not?

OP here, I mean I guess I can go but usually if someone wants to do AYCE everyone at the table has to do it too, and rather than spend $30 on AYCE I’d rather spend $15 on a single entree. But a lot of the places don’t offer reasonable entree options because it’s geared toward AYCE.

Lunch is like $18 for AYCE at Iron Age, whereas non AYCE places I have been to are charging around that much for one dish. Even if the AYCE ends ups being a couple $ more, it is worth it for the variety.

That’s a great price for lunch! I think we’re going to go there. Thanks!!

Good choice. It's like Indian food at lunch, buffet is almost always cheaper than ordering an individual dish.

Honey Pig is not good.

And other than the place in Laurel, which isn’t that good either, I don’t recall any KBBq all you can eat. And I eat a lot of KBBq.
