When the class is full but the person next to you refuses to move?

Op, I look forward to the day when you are old and “taking up space.” Great thing is it will happen (if you are lucky), the getting old part. Best of luck to you and actually getting to a gym class when you can’t move so well

She was. Thus the post. Would not follow the moves of the class. Doing tiny little old lady moves in her own world.

OMG. And there you were, doing Giant Asshole young woman moves thinking the world owes you. Jesus. She's out doing stuff and trying to live. Find somebody else to stand next to and assault.

You need to get a grip and learn to live in a society. Also work on your intelligence and creativity so you’ll be able to think of how to exercise without running someone over.

Go do yoga clearly your mind needs more than your body.

Seriously if you want to work out without thinking about other people, don’t take a class. CLASS.

I do agree that OP is being obnoxious referring to the woman's "tiny old lady moves", but if you are in a class where you are doing combinations across the floor and forward and backward, a person not moving at all is a problem. I've switched to spin classes, but used to take Zumba every week, and my instructor had us moving all around the room. If a person just stood in place, that would be an issue and potentially someone could get hurt.

If it's really that much of an issue, talk to the instructor. It's their job to keep an eye on everything.

Also +1 for giant asshole young woman moves thinking the world owes you.

Look this would bother me too, so I stream my classes online and do them from home. Problem solved.

Not op, but visualize a Zumba class where the instructor moves to the left. Everyone takes steps or jumps and ends up about 3 feet to the left, while the person to the left of the pp only moves for 1 ft, squeezing op between them and the person to the right of OP.

+1 Thank you for the laugh.

Just start coughing uncontrollably. It's going to be my new move in all places where people have a poor sense of space.

Wait until you are old. Then some jerk will think you are intruding on her space.

That’s what geriatric classes are for!

Was this a beginner's class?

And comment ominously “Ever since I got back, this cough just won’t go away...”

sorry, that is bullsh**t! I love the classes,I love the loud music and the freeing feeling of moving all around the floor. It is what I consider the only "me" time of the day. I feel bad for the older ladies b/c yes, I get it, that will be me some day (and they are very nice!), but they make a class very dangerous when there is a lot of movement. They should be in the back of the room or the front side, not in the middle. I end up worrying how to get around them instead of my work out.
