| my 12 year old athletic DS is 9pm - 6:30am on weekdays |
| I have a 9 and 12 yo. Both are athletic. They get between 9 and 12 hours each night. Late practice nights or early weekend games are the nights with 9 hours. They go to bed early if they have a night where they are home and tired and sometimes will sleep 12 hours. |
And puberty is definitely starting for the oldest. Even my 9 yo is having a lot of growth spurts. They both sleep more now than they did a year ago. |

9yo boy 8:30-7
12yo boy 9:00-6:15 Bedtimes are the same on weekends, unless there are special circumstances (sleepover, movie night runs a little long, etc). 9yo normally wakes up naturally at about the same time, 12 might get up anywhere between 7 and 9. |
+1 Both girls. Starting FCPS MS, sleep went down to 9.5 hrs (10 hrs more ideal). |
| 9.5 yo athletic girl. 8-7 unless she has a game or practice that goes past 8. |

Ugh, not enough.
Both kids (9 boy and 12 girl) go to bed around 8:45-9:15p depending on after school sport and activity schedule. Middle schooler‘a alarm is set for 6:40a, the boy wakes up anywhere between 6-7am depending on...when he wakes up to pee, actually. |
Same. Boy. |

9yo 8pm-6:30am
12yo 8:30/9-6:30am Both should probably get more sleep because it’s often a struggle to get them up. On the weekends they go to bed at roughly the same time but sleep until 7-7:30 |
