| Came back from an overseas trip last night. Got up with the preschooler at 6am and played trains and then got the baby when she was up and changed a really gross poopy diaper and washed her and brought me a shiny clean baby to nurse while I decadently lounged in bed for an extra hour. We don't celebrate and I usually do mornings by myself since he goes to work early so it was a lovely break from the routine and I feel refreshed for the day. |
DH made me a homemade card! He used to do that years ago when we were dating, so it was very sweet.
|
| He let me off the hook for getting him anything. A gift that pleased me, for sure! |
| He planned dinner and went to the grocery store last night to buy the ingredients. I am the primary cook and shopper, so this is huge to me and very, very appreciated. |
| So far, just snoring. I’ll get back to this thread later for an update. |
| DH here. Damn, you guys have a really low bar. This makes me wonder if I'm doing too much on a daily basis. |
Probably just means your wife isn't seething with resentment toward you like most on this forum. |

He let me sleep in the morning. Woke up HS kid, packed his lunch and dropped him to school (40 minutes away). Made me a small thermos of coffee and left it next to my bed. Except..he does this every day. He works and I am a SAHM.
My DH and I will not be exchanging gifts because we don't do fake holidays. I once went to Giant on Valentine's day and it was terrible to see stressed men, grabbing roses and chocolates for their SO before they went back home. We are thoughtful to each other every single day. And he does incredibly romantic things for me...except not on Valentine's day. |
+1, signed another DH. Dinner, folding laundry, getting up with the kids? That should be a daily occurrence. |
| Couples massage and lunch at National Harbor. |
| We worked from home today and kicked off the afternoon with mimosas. |
ok so I’ll bite. What are you guys doing for your wives for Valentine’s Day? |
C'mon, you know what he wants. |
| least. Leaves before we wake up in the morning, but there was a little sketch he did of me and our daughter (she and I dozed off snuggling last night and he drew us on a napkin but he wrote on the back "the image of all I've ever wanted in life. Thank you forever." And then he left a little doodle of an owl and a duck (our toddlers favorites) on her high chair with a donut. |
| ^supposed to say he leaves |
