Poll: Hard side luggage or soft?

Anonymous
I always had soft but changed to hard. Hard is way better. I like packing it more with the two sides.

+1 It is so hard to not correct people in real life about this multiple times per day, including my kid's language arts teacher this morning.

I have hard sided Tumi. I have had them for about 18 months. The large suitcase that gets checked looks like total crap. So beat up. I would do soft side for anything you are going to check.

I hate clamshell suitcases. There never is anywhere good to put them in a hotel. And I am not unpacking for a night or two. But so hard to access both sides.

Soft, because it can accommodate much easier to smaller spaces in overhead bins. It’s more flexible and can expand to accommodate more clothes.
