Depending on the kid's height, may not be good. This carseat was great for us for extended RF, but my kid outgrew the FF position on it at about 4.5 years old, and she was much too small for the seat in booster mode with carseat straps instead of harness. The height of carseat doesn't extend, like the Chicco Myfit and others do.

The forward facing harness limit for our diono radian is 65 lbs and 57 inches tall. I have never met a 4.5 year old that size. My average size 5 year old is 43 lbs and 43 inches tall.

We have the Britax Dual Fit for our 6 year old who is 45 lbs and she fits it with a ton of room to grow. I’m not sure what price you’re looking for but it was $169 , so cheaper than most of the seats we looked at but a little more expensive than the cheapest ones.
